The three news icon in the Philippine Broadcast journalism are joining forces to strengthen the both tandems "TV Parol", as the ABS-CBN's flagship newscasting and the leadning news program in the country said the one of the country's largest broadcast network.
Starting this comming Monday, November 8, Noli 'Kabayan' de Castro and Korina Sanchez will return to television to join the current broadcaster Ted Failon in 'TV Patrol' to form the most tried and tested news team ever.
The Network said that 'de Castro' returns with a wider knowledge of the workings of government after his 6-year stint as the Vice President of the Philippine Republic.
For the other news program, the late night news program, Bandila, Karen Davila and Julius Babao are sent to join to Ces Drilon as news anchors.
The Network said de Castro "started making a name on radio during the Martial Law years." He "is also the original anchor of 'TV Patrol,' and the hard-hitting investigative show, 'Magandang Gabi Bayan'."
"Sanchez, on the other hand, is the intelligent and brave 'Kakampi ng Bayan,' who has reported on the biggest news in the country since she started in ABS-CBN in 1986. She also holds the distinction of being the first female main anchor of 'TV Patrol'," ABS-CBN said.
Sanchez, who married to his former Senator Mar Roxas, who lost in the May 2010 Vice-presidential race against the former Makati Mayor, Jejomar Binay as now Vice President of the Philippine Republic.
